When a visual communication need arises, your configured hotkey summons Markable's annotation layer — instantaneously, without switching windows or losing your current application's state.

Dismiss the annotation layer and your original application remains exactly as you left it. The exported file is available immediately in your designated output folder.

Data Privacy
Markable is built on a local-first architecture. Every annotation, recording, and captured image is stored exclusively on your device — no cloud upload, no remote processing, no external transmission of any kind.
Privacy is not a feature — it is the foundational design constraint from which every architectural decision follows.
All output files — PNG images, MP4 recordings, and configuration data — are written exclusively to directories on your local drive. You specify the path; Markable writes only there.
Markable establishes zero outbound network connections during normal operation. The application functions identically with or without an internet connection — by design.
Markable requires no registration, no sign-in, and no user account of any kind. Your identity is never associated with the application's operation.
No usage analytics. No crash reports transmitted remotely. No behavioral data collected. Markable does not know — and does not seek to know — how you use it.
